This it the earliest known photograph of Technisonic Studios. Technisonic Studios (a.k.a "Technisonic" and "Tech") got its start as the sound lab of the Central Institute for the Deaf in St. Louis, Missouri. The company was founded in 1929 by a recent Washington University graduate, engineer Charles "Bud" Harrison. Harrison soon became one of the country's leading authorities on recording. If a piece of equipment or technology didn't exist or the existing equipment wasn't good enough, Harrison designed and built something better! (Photo courtesy of C.I.D.)
